ARCHITECT@WORK: Discover innovation - Success in Barcelona and debut in the city of Valencia
• A@W Barcelona concludes with a large turnout, solidifying its status as a key event for architecture and design professionals.
• Valencia becomes the new destination for A@W in Spain, with its first edition taking place on November 19 and 20 at the city’s most iconic exhibition venue, Feria Valencia.
A@W Barcelona: A must-attend event for innovation
In its 6th edition, A@W Barcelona, held on October 29 and 30 at La Farga, has firmly established itself as an essential event for discovering innovative products in the architecture and interior design sectors. With 141 exhibiting firms and a high volume of visitors, A@W reaffirms its unique concept: showcasing new products within a compact and democratic exhibition format, where each exhibitor is given equal space. Its sequential layout enables a smooth visitor flow and fosters close professional interaction between companies and attendees.
Exhibiting firms in Barcelona praised the direct engagement with architecture and interior design professionals, facilitated by a format focused on innovative and novel products. The event was enriched by exhibitions on materials and lightweight wooden architecture, as well as a conference series titled “Decarbonizing Architecture,” featuring speakers such as Josep Bohigas, Circular Studio, and Sonia Hernández-Montaño from Arquitectura Sana, which was warmly received by the audience.
A@W expands to Valencia
With its first event in Valencia on November 19 and 20, A@W aligns with the dynamic architecture and design sector in Spain’s eastern capital. Following successful editions in Barcelona, Bilbao, and Madrid, A@W now arrives at Feria Valencia, the city’s most emblematic exhibition venue. It continues to grow as a platform for showcasing a wide range of product innovations in a sector undergoing transformation toward sustainability and resilience. A@W offers a valuable meeting point for specifiers, technical advisors, and architecture professionals in a highly dynamic format.
While companies present their latest innovations at the stands, A@W Academy continues its conference series under the theme “Decarbonizing Architecture.” In Valencia, topics will include sustainability and heritage as drivers of urban transformation, and the evolution toward more mindful interior design. Renowned speakers include Gradolí&Sanz Arquitectos, NŌ architects, Anna Boscà from Ramón Esteve Estudio, and Benjamín Iborra from Mesura.
A@W Valencia also hosts the Project Wall exhibition by world-architects.com, featuring 40 projects that contribute knowledge on lightweight construction and circularity, crucial themes in addressing the climate crisis. Additionally, the MaterialDriven exhibition highlights materials that prioritize sustainability and reduce emissions. Complementing the event are meeting and relaxation areas, along with free catering throughout the day, encouraging informal coworking among professionals.
